Camping guidelines

Our guidelines

We want you to have a great stay here with us, to ensure that and with you in mind, we have created our campsite rules. We respectfully ask that these are followed and if not, we may have to ask you to leave.

Arrival & departure

Our pitches are available from 12pm on the day of arrival. Setting up your pitch in the dark can be complicated even for seasoned campers so we ask that you arrive and check-in before 8pm or nightfall, whichever is earlier. We will be unable to check you in after this time so please leave plenty of time to get to us.

Barbecues

You are permitted to use a barbecue, provided they are raised off the ground and in a suitable container. We ask that all barbecues are fully extinguished by 10pm and disposed of responsibly. We no longer sell instant BBQ’s within our Forest Retreat due to the environmental impacts they cause for disposal. In times of dry weather we may ask you to stop using your barbecue due to a higher risk of fire.

Cleanliness

Please ensure your pitch is kept clean and tidy during your stay. On departure please remove all rubbish and take it to the recylcing bins provided.

Dogs

Dogs are welcome on our campsite but we ask whilst here that you keep them on a lead and always clean up after them.

Fires, fire pits & generators

Please note we do not permit open fires or wood burning at Beddgelert Campsite. We permit fire pits which are raised off the ground and burning charcoal only. These must be fully extinguished by 10pm with water and the contents disposed of in the metal waste bins provided. The use of generators at Beddgelert campsite is neither permitted. Failure to adhere to these regulations could hinder the safety and comfort of other guest and you may be asked to leave.

Gazebos

Use of a gazebo or canopy is allowed providing if fits within the dimensions of your pitch and there is suitable space. If the campsite is busy you may be asked to pay for an additional pitch or remove your gazebo to permit more space for other guests.

Noise

Please be respectful of your neighbours, let them enjoy the tranquillity of the forest by keeping the noise levels down between 10pm - 8am. Our noise policy is strictly enforced.

Our environment

We care about the environment and it is our responsibility to safeguard it, therefore we ask you to be a responsible visitor to the forest. Please protect the surrounding trees by not hanging anything from them and or setting off any fireworks. Keep our wildlife wild by not feeding them and enjoy your den building in the forest but not near the pitches.

Pitches

Camping pitches must be at least 3m away from others and you can only use one wind break per pitch. If on a hard-standing pitch, you must only occupy your pitch.

There are fire extinguishers and emergency action notices on stations located throughout the campsite. Please familiarise yourself with their location upon arrival.

Reception

Our opening hours may vary, but these will be displayed near the door to the Forest Retreat. Outside of reception opening hours, we will display the emergency on call duty manager’s details.

Speed limit

The campsite speed limit is 10mph. Please take special care in areas where children are playing.

Visitors

Visitors to your pitch are welcome during reception opening hours, we ask they park at reception and sign in.  A small car parking fee may be applicable.

Failure to comply to these campsite rules will result in additional fees being incurred and possible removal from the campsite. The management reserves the right to review and change these rules at any time. Any changes made will be of immediate effect.
